Evolution by PhyloFreak Evolution by PhyloFreak
First of all I don't know what sub catigory it should be in. Either Abstract, Surreal, Realism...
This is actually a tripich (one main piece with 3 or more smaller supporting or narrative pieces to complement the main). I have a recurrent theme in most of my work, if you didn't know, that involves the natual human figure and technology. I don't want to go too much into it and rather allow you to explore what the meaning is. But the title is "Evolution" and the two marks on the woman are the "Dell" and "Ford" symbols. Enjoy! Feedback very welcome!!!

Pastels, charcoal and chalk.

pose of a woman is really dramatic. And, hm, for me - the subjects is one of the most dramatic too. Woman not controlling pregnacy, losing control of her body, growing in her small parasite of your specie, having someome completely strange in her.
The most scary thing under the sun.

Don't mind me, they say I am not emotionaly mature.

I like your style.

Thank you! :D

I find it ironic because my girlfriend has the same feeling about pregnancy too.

interesting stance of the figure, seems like woman in womb:)....atleast to mE!

the main figure depicts the subject fairly well...what if there would be no supporting work along wiht it...

Thanks for the comments! I was hoping someone would see the woman in womb thing. Yeah, I have been working on other works without all of the other things... with just the figure with mechanical additions and similar things. But no idea when or if I'll post them... :(
